Crivvens! Jings! And Help Ma Boab! The Democratic Football Lads Alliance (DFLA), a splinter faction from the Football Lads Alliance (FLA), are off on a march again today. The DFLA split off from the John Meighan led FLA cos they were mightily mischuffed over his avant garde accounting techniques and decided they wanted some of that coin themselves. Meighan, a greedy little spiv like Tommy Robinson, quickly took advantage of all those yummly pences rolling in from supporters but after strong criticism stood down as leader whilst retaining his influence.

One of our comrades said last year that the FLA ‘are the EDL without knowing it’ and how true be he! The FLA have rallied the numbers but the question is ‘what next and how to achieve it?’ Unlike the EDL demos, which were more like a drunken stag do gone terribly wrong, the FLA have managed to maintain sobriety and understood that red faced beer bellies holding plastic cups of lager and weeing in the street isn’t great PR. And the idea that football firms from all over the UK could unite without violence seemed incredulous but, apart from the DFLA split, the FLA have managed to keep the peace whilst demo numbers remain impressive.
Tommy Robinson: Going Down. Again.
Apart from the usual far right fallouts over ‘egos and money’ the FLA have found it difficult to produce an articulate non-criminal spokesperson. Tommy Robinson, sensing the possibility of ready coin, hovered ever closer and was well received on some demos, although the leadership remained chary and kept the key to the petty cash well hidden. However, any hopes that the FLA or DFLA could co-opt Robinson as a mouthpiece are now kaput as ‘Sir Tommy’ is currently in the majesties priz for the foreseeable.
Militant opposition has been minimal due to the large scale of the demos and 100s of accompanying plod. Other anti-fascist groups have maintained counter-demos and received the predictable abuse from the more libatious marchers, but coverage from the media meant that some opposition was represented.

Earlier this year the FLA/DFLA were flirting with UKIP, temporarily becoming a front group for the querulous party who have been in a mess over leadership since the dismal Brexit result. Tying the FLA/DFLA to a bus crash like UKIP isn’t going anywhere politically…
El Teabag: Jaydawgs Cuppa Hot Stuff!
… and neither would alignment with Britain First. Very public fallouts between Jaydawg Fransen and Paul ‘Pies’ Goldinger over questionable sexual conduct were hilarious. Jaydawg started boning a Mexican wrestler called El Teabag and left Goldinger to fiddle solo. Goldinger is now out of the majesties priz and residing in a bail hostel whilst Jaydawg is still rattling the bars.

Ann Marie Sharkey’s For Britain is pretty irrelevant. Miss Feargal tried for the UKIP leadership but lost – which must mean she is really shit! – so, as the far right often do, stumped off in a tizz to form her own groupuscule. She is a pissant mediocrity and unlikely to be wooed by the FLA given her lack of media presence. And personality.
So, what next then? The D/FLA need concrete policies and strategies in order to survive or, like the EDL, they will continue to wander round rainy cities protesting ‘against extremism’ whilst offering nothing in the way of solutions. If these arse-clowns, many of whom claim to be ‘ex-military,’ were serious about combating Islamic terror maybe they should march on down to Syria where the very real war against them is continuing.
